William “Bill” Joseph LaRosa, 67, of Mount Holly passed away on Thursday morning September 29, 2022 at CaroMont Hospital after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Bill’s father played baseball for the U.S.Military and he placed a baseball in Bill’s hands when he was an infant. Bill was on a baseball scholarship in High School at Tech. Memorial High School and he played professionally in the minor leagues for both the Texas Rangers and Saint Louis Cardinals. He was initially a catcher, but in the minor leagues he became a pitcher, before an injury sidelined his baseball career. He enjoyed NASCAR and he was an avid hiker. He kept his strength up hiking on the ground of The Common Grounds Church property and anywhere he traveled. During and after his baseball career Bill was in Auto Sales Management. He was very diverse and could do everything at the dealership. Bill was a friend to many and you could count on him to always help you in any way he could. Many will miss Bill.
Bill is the son of the late Florence (DiBattista) LaRosa.
Left to cherish their memories of Bill and to carry on his legacy are his wife of 30 years, Susan (Picarsic) LaRosa, his father William “Bill” LaRosa, Sr. and daughter, Maria LaRosa.
