Cody was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol B Wentz; who now has her arms wrapped around him in heaven.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lisa Wentz Hill (Ron); Father, Leonard James Klein (Julie); Sister, Courtney Long (Jonathan); Nephew, Xane Long; Grandfathers, Harry Wentz & Leonard Klein; Grandmother, Denise Melchior; Aunt, Liz weaver; Uncle, Stephen Wentz(Antione); Fiancé, Mikayla Nettles and bonus children, Liam & Levi.
Cody was a student at South Point High & later obtained a GED from SC in 2019. He began painting with his father and later, a cook doing anything he put his mind to. Cody was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, fiancé & father who brought light to any dark place.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, April 26 at Carothers funeral home in Stanley.
Cody’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte, NC.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to McLeod Centers for wellbeing in Charlotte, NC or Daymark Recovery Services in Statesville, NC.
