Vincenza Ruvolo passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at The Villa of Stamford. Vicki was born in Manhattan to the late Giuseppe and Josephine Meli and spent her childhood in Brooklyn. She was a great student and a champion figure skater.
Vicki moved to Stamford Connecticut in 1950 with the love of her life, Anthony Ruvolo. After retiring from Bloomingdales, where she worked in the accounts department, Vicki and Anthony traveled through Europe to fulfill their lifelong dreams. Vicki was a loving wife, mother and friend. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her favorites, Duke and Brandy – both terriers who were her shadows. Vicki loved antique hunting throughout New England, wheeling and dealing Haviland China and finding hidden treasures at United House Wrecking.
Vicki will be remembered as a loving and giving person, running hot dog lunches at St. Maurice’s School, and fundraisers at St. Basil’s Prep.
Vicki was predeceased in death by her parents, Giuseppe and Josephine (Boscarino) Meli, her husband Anthony, her sister Josephine and her brother Morris. She is survived by her son Anthony Ruvolo Jr. and his wife Ayse Demirag, along with nieces and nephews, Kathy Vivolo, Anthony LaSala, Luisa Olsen and Frank LaSala.
Vicki’s family would like to thank the staff at the Villa of Stamford for their attentive care and kindness.
Visitation will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT on Wednesday July 24, 2024 from 5-7 PM
