Lissett Rubena Carter migrated to the United States of America in 1968, and resided in Stamford, CT until her transition on December 28, 2017. Lissett channeled her love of helping others into a 26 year career as a nursing assistant at the Stamford Hospital. After her retirement, Lissett’s passions included wrestling, daytime soap operas, and the Steve Harvey Show. Most of all, she loved going out to breakfast on Wednesday mornings with her son Errol. Lissett leaves behind two sons, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters, one brother and lots of nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all.
A visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Sunday, January 7, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford. On Monday, January 8, Lissett’s family will receive relatives and friends at 10am at St. Andrew’s Church, 1231Washington Blvd., Stamford. A funeral service will begin at 11am. Burial is private.
