Lila Sabol Lubov, formerly of Stamford, CT, passed away on November 16, 2024 at the age of 95. She was born in Greenwich, CT and met her husband, Harvey Sabol, at the University of Connecticut where she was a music major after attending high school classes at the Julliard School. She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Nancy Sabol Echikson, Susan Sabol Carter (Michael), Michael Sabol (Diane) and Amy Sabol (Hal). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by Harvey in 1985 and subsequently married Gabe Lubov, who also predeceased her. In addition, she was predeceased by her son-in-law Larry Echikson.
She was a very social person who loved her family and friends, loved to entertain them in her home and gave wonderful and memorable parties and dinners. She created a loving, happy and busy home for her family. She also gave piano lessons and worked in Marketing research.
She spent more than 20 years living an active life in Florida, near her late beloved sister Janet Morris, playing golf, canasta, mahj jongg, traveling, shopping and entertaining.
The funeral will be private for family only. The family will sit Shiva on Wednesday November 20, from 4-8:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter Susan Carter. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
