Kevin James Klein received his Crown of Life on June 28, 2021, doing what he did best, studying. He was born on August 26, 1985 in Morristown, NJ and grew up in Hopatcong, NJ before moving to Stamford, CT.
His brother Shaun (2017) and his father John (2020) have been waiting for him and welcomed him with open arms and hi-fives. He is survived by his mother, Lirelle Klein, his brother Steven and his nephew, Christian.
Left to cherish his life are also his grandparents, Judy Antonelli and Bruce and Margaret Klein. He also leaves behind his aunts: Michele, Beth, Kristen and Kelly, His sister-in-law, Donna Klein and all of his cousins, plus a vast amount of family who will certainly miss his grin.
A graduate of NJIT, Kevin was a Mechanical Engineer in Stamford, CT working for P.A. Collins PE and was also part of the research group Climate Modeling Alliance (CLiMA) through Cal-Tech in Pasadena, CA. He was also one class away from obtaining his Master’s Degree and had just passed the F.E. exam. Never one without a mechanical pencil and graph paper, Kevin was not only brilliant in math and science, he was a natural artist with a left-handed ability to draw anything freestyle flawlessly.
Kevin was also a self-admitting “health nut” and adventurer seeker, beginning his love of long distance running when he was 8 and having broken several records and attended the Junior Olympics for many years until after being hit by a car which derailed him for several years. Even with a titanium rod from his hip to his ankle, Kevin managed to cliff dive in Mexico, snowboard in VT and was kind enough to call his mother after he went skydiving to tell her that we went and landed safely. He continued to run up to 48 hours before his passing.
More importantly than the language of Math, Kevin spoke with Love for all and always felt bad for everyone but himself. He attended Christ Church in Rockaway and Montclair, and always invited someone to come with him.
Arrangements are under the care of Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer St. Stamford, CT 06905. To leave condolences, please visit https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/stamford-ct/kevin-klein-10256642/add-memory. A memorial service for friends and family will be held in August.
