Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of Patricia (Byrnes) Harbilas and Dr. Eugene Harbilas. Upon graduating from UCONN with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Greg then obtained an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
Greg dedicated over three decades of his life to supporting the mental health needs of his community. Greg worked with children, families, adults, and couples in both nonprofit and private practice. He was willing to help anyone who was willing to put in the work and he was unwavering in his support for his clients. Greg had shifted his focus to heavily supporting those battling issues related to sobriety.
Greg’s empathy and compassion for clients, regardless of the issues they faced, made him both an exceptional therapist and human being. He will be deeply missed by the community he serviced and the colleagues who had the privilege of working alongside him.
