Bette Ann Agisheff passed away on Dec 7, 2024, after a short illness. She was 100 yrs old. She was the daughter of Edward and Florence Finneran, born on Jan 23, 1924, in Hackensack, NJ. After graduating from Holy Angels Academy in Demarest, NJ, she briefly attended Marymount College in Manhattan. She married Dennis J. Pierce immediately following WW2. Together they raised their 7 children on Shippan Point in Stamford. Years after Dennis’s untimely death, she married Ibrahim Tut Agisheff. They lived in Revonah Woods enjoying family and friends, and both learned how to play golf together. They continued playing for the remainder of Tut’s life at Sterling Farms. She returned to Shippan after Tut's passing where she remained for the rest of her life.
Bette Ann always led a very active social life with a wide circle of friends. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Roman Catholic Church, and the Stamford Yacht Club where she was an avid bridge player and member of the bowling League. She will be remembered with great love and gratitude for her legendary indomitable spirit.
She is survived by her 6 daughters; Susan Bailey (Tom) of Naples, FL, Nancy Pierce of Bridgeport, Deborah Donahue (Patrick) of Norwalk, Mary Elizabeth White (David) of Stamford, Patricia Rose (Eric) of Branford, Bette Ann Pierce and step-son Igor Agisheff of Hawaii; 9 grandchildren: Courtney Eisenhardt, Rory Donahue, Kate Davis, Jennifer Paul, Elizabeth Bailey, Kevin and Sean Rose, Erin and Pierce White, step - granddaughter Mallina Wilson, 9 great grandchildren Mason and Amelia Eisenhardt, Jack, Elizabeth and Caroline Paul, Hannah and Declan Rose, Dennis and Nicholas Pierce as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Edward and Florence Finneran, son Dennis J Pierce III, husbands Dennis J Pierce Jr, Ibrahim Tut Agisheff, and grandson Dennis J Pierce IV, brother Edward Finneran and sister Edythe Wall, and step-daughter Amina Agisheff.
A Celebration of Life Mass for Bette Ann will be held on January 23, 2025, her 101 birthday, at 11:00 o’clock A.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Shippan Point, Stamford, Connecticut.
