Matthew James Nixon

Matthew James Nixon of Alexandria, Virginia, better known as “Super Dad”, “Super Husband”, “Dabadoo”, “Matt the Man”, born July 31, 1967, went to meet Jesus on February 10, 2022 surrounded by his family at Mary Washington Hospital. He is now celebrating in heaven with his Dad, Gary; his brother, Joe and many other loved ones that preceded him. Matt is survived by the love of his life, Susan; his pride and joy, Travis (Alicia). His adoring parents, Marie and Lloyd Wolfe; his brother, Brandon Nixon (Ashlee); his sister, Kaitlyn Wolfe; and his brothers, Stephen and Brandon Wolfe; His bonus children, Lyndsay (Richie), Stone (Sadie), Jordan (Monique); his beloved grandchildren, Kaylee, Logan, Garrett, Easton and Mason and so many other wonderful, loving family and friends. Matt’s great personality and presence were always evident everywhere he went. You may catch him wearing zoomie goggles and a top hat, while cutting the grass, trying on armor, or crazy hats in the store, anything to make his family smile. He lived a great life and lived in each moment often making anyone with him late to every single event he attended. His life, his silliness and the love he had to share can never be summarized in one paragraph. To know him was to love him and if you knew him you were blessed each and every day. Matt, we love you so much and we miss you more than you can imagine. Until we meet again… Family and friends are invited to join us at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service (186 Shelton Shop Rd Stafford, VA 22554) on Friday, February 25th at 5 PM for visitation, with a service to follow at 6 PM. The family also invites you to join them for light refreshments in the fellowship hall after the service.
