Beloved son, David Stowe of Stafford, Virginia went to our Lord and Savior at the age of 75 on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his mother, Eve Stephens; his sister, Karen Burnett; brother-in-law, Michael Ash; nephews, Justin Ash (Mila) and Brendan Burnett (Amanda); along with nieces, Jennifer Ash and Ashley Price (Andrew). He is also survived by other close family members, Kyleigh Ash (Jason), Lucah Ash, Madelaine Ash, Liam Turner, Mia Janicki, Owen Janicki, Sonny Burnett, Mariana Evelyn Burnette, Layla Price, Nora Price, Miki Nielsen, Niels Nielsen, and Terry D’Addio. David was born on February 20, 1949, in Washington, DC. He grew up in Rockville, Maryland and graduated in 1967 from Robert E. Peary High school. He was an Army veteran, an avid chef and fisherman. David was an enthusiastic weightlifter in his youth and had even trained with Sylvester Stallone of “Rocky” fame. He was a big fan of reading history, professional boxing and the Washington Redskins. It was said by many of his classmates that he had the highest belly flop ever witnessed at Beaver Dam in Timonium, Maryland. David was preceded in death by his father, David Stowe, Sr.; sister, Trina Ash and uncle Evan Nielsen. A public memorial service will be held at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Visitation is from 4:00 to 5:00 pm and the service starts at 5:00 pm. Interment will be on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Quantico National Cemetery. David will truly be missed by his family and friends and as one put it; “has left us with so many memories and stories that we’ll each take for the rest of our lives.”
