The consummate sales woman, Kitty worked in various industries including automobile, heavy equipment and insurance. She managed residential properties and was owner operator of Carousel Skating Rink in Spring Branch, Texas.
She spent many years volunteering for Foster Grandparents and Depelchin Home for Children. Kitty’s expert skills in sewing and craftwork benefitted many underprivileged children both here and worldwide.
Known to many as “Kitty Rose”, “Miss Kitty” and “Kitty Kat” to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest when working on handcrafted gifts. Her greatest joy was her family. All of her family and grandchildren received various quilts, dolls, dollhouses and Halloween costumes throughout the years. Kitty’s attention to detail and creativity will live in these works for generations to come.
Preceded in death by her parents, Irvy Gladstone Burney and Pearl Margaret Caperton, and daughter, Cindy Bryan.
Kitty is survived by:
Her five children: Chris McClellan, Samuel McClellan and wife Mia, Larry McClellan and wife Dinah, Linda George and husband Rick, Jim McClellan and wife Terri.
Her eighteen Grandchildren: Molly, Bo, Ben, Emily, Leanne, Dusty, Matthew, Daniel, Shavita, Talitha, Judith, Elisa, Tovija, Linja, Maja, Robin, Susana, and Stephen.
And thirty-one Great Grandchildren.
