Katherine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed interior decorating, arts & crafts, traveling, dancing, celebrating every holiday, Sunday dinners with the family, and helping others in need.
Katherine served as president of the Woman's Club of Houston for several years. She was a dedicated member of the Junior League of Houston, Newcomers & Neighbors of Greater Houston, Cancer Fighters, and PTO president for Liestman Elementary and Albright Middle School. Katherine was also a parishioner at St. Theresa Catholic Church and taught CCE for several years.
Katherine is survived by her husband David, her sons, Michael, Mark and his wife Rocio, Jason and his wife Katya, and sister Shirleen. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Luis and his wife Isa, Kyle, Olivia, Liam, and great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Leo, and Victoria Grace. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Hattie, and sister Mary Helen.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for your thoughts and prayers, visits, calls and every act of kindness. It has given them great peace, consolation, and strength during this difficult time.
Friends are cordially invited to a Celebration of Katherine's Life on Sunday, November 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, the visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., immediately followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A service of remembrances will be held on Sunday, November 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., also in the chapel at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family and share remembrances of Katherine during a reception to be held in the event room at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 27 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 705 St. Theresa Blvd. in Sugar Land.
The Rite of Committal will follow, via funeral procession to Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
