Bill and I met in Rochester, both students at RCC, and we worked together at the Public Library.  We had a lot of discussions about religion, both being products of Catholic High schools.  He was a bright, inquisitive fellow with a great sense of humor. I remember going to his and Mary's wedding in Faribault.  Lovely man, great heart. May he dance with the angels. Forever seared in my memory will be two years of Thursday and Friday evening dinners at my home with my dear friend, sensitive,  good-humored,  debonair,  Bill,  my back door neighbor.

That is, except when his wonderful family, Jennifer, Charlie/Jane and Wally/Susan  and others were with him.  He cherished those times with his family.  And all cherished our times with him.   

Rest in peace Bill.  You were loved and will not be forgotten.

Opps, I also see that the script I wrote to go along with Bill's HS yearbook photo didn't make it onto this site either. So, here's the script that was to have gone along with that great photo:

Bill moved from Faribault after high school.  We were always so glad to see him at the milestone class reunions he was able to make it back for.
  
A bit about our HS classmate Bill back when:
He was  totally cool.   Bill embodied the London-Ivy League "look" of the times to a "T".....from his hair cut to his Gant (trademark) shirts and tapered pants, to his brown penny loafers (worn with or without argyle socks).    Bill was also very smart.   Best of all he had a sense of humor that was dry, timely and spot-on hilarious. Truth be told, more than a handful of us gals had crushes on him. 

RIP, ol' buddy.

My last name might ring a bell to some of you Lentz as my oldest sister Joanne Robertshaw and your sis Ann were dear dear friends starting in Girl Scouts on up.  I remember Ann being as funny as Bill.

GREATEST JOYS / EXPERIENCES / ACCOMPLISHMENTS/CHALLENGES- Birth of daughter, lots of travel, especially Moscow and Saint Petersburg,  Russia, France, Germany, Italy, UK, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania and Poland


Fast forward to our 50th HS reunion.   Bill came up to Faribault for the event.  So great to have him with us.   (Recipient of the "traveled the farthest" award.)   Here he is  with a  group of his 'ol buddies.  Also included here is an excerpt Bill submitted to the 50th reunion booklet about himself.
