He was born in New Haven, Connecticut on February 15th, 1936 to loving parents Raymond & Edith (Brown) Dickinson and his sister Dot. He enlisted in the army when he became of age, and was very proud of his country. He then moved on to work at Southern New England Telephone Company as lineman and over the course of his 40 plus year career retired as a plant manager.
He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hitting the green with his friends. He had a love for the coastline and spent a lot of time in his early life on boats. However, it wouldn’t be hard to find him sharing a drink at the pool bar in his later years. His greatest pastime above all was being a doting husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his “Bride,” Jean, his daughters, Kathleen (James) & Christine, and his son Raymond, his grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan), Melissa, Holden, Sophia, and Regan. As well as many loving extended family members in Connecticut, Maine, and Pennsylvania.
A celebration of life for his Floridian friends & family will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Beach Memorial Chapel (301 Corey Ave, St Pete Beach, FL ) from 3:00 - 5:00. Connecticut church services and celebration of life to follow later in the coming weeks.
