Jan David Jordan, age 68, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Jan was born in Champaign, IL on January 6th, 1955 to Wayne & Twila (Darr) Jordan. Jan graduated from Urbana High School and attended Parkland Community College to obtain his Residential and Commercial Real Estate Broker Licenses.
Jan was an impressive businessman, real estate broker, salesman & entrepreneur. Jan founded and ran multiple businesses, including Jordan’s Wholesale Siding & Insulating and Jordan’s Kitchens.
Jan was a true animal lover, rescuing and caring for numerous pets during this lifetime. Jan also enjoyed fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, Florida weather, storytelling over cigars and coffee, coin collecting, playing guitar, watching movies & the Christmas Season.
Jan was preceded in death by parents Wayne & Twila Jordan and his brother Dennis Jordan. Jan is survived by his children Daniel Jordan (39), Marie Robertson (33) & Emily Hite (32), grandchildren Gabriel Jordan (18) & Halen Hite (4), his brother Gary Jordan and his nephews Jacob, Josh & Matt Jordan.
A visitation for Jan will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Ave, St Pete Beach, FL 33706, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
A graveside service will be held at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Philo, IL at a later date.
