Mr. Dale Van Watson of St. Pete Beach, FL, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the age of 66. Dale was born to parents Peggy S. Kempson Watson and James Turner Watson on October 23, 1950 in Akron, OH. He grew up as the eldest of four children and the eldest of 14 cousins in a very close-knit extended Watson family. In his youth he participated in the Boy Scouts and was very proud to have achieved the level of Eagle Scout. He attended King High School in Tampa, FL and then obtained his B.A. in Mathematics from the University of South Florida. Throughout his career Dale worked in Information Services as Project Manager and Sr. Project Manager for several different companies until his retirement in 2016. Dale is survived by his siblings, Carolyn Watson Nicolosi (Greg Nicolosi) and Kevin Watson (Dedra Watson) as well as 8 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he dearly loved. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Peggy, and his brother, Terry James Watson. Dale's life was made full by the people he loved - his numerous friends and family. A service celebrating Dale’s life will take place at 2 pm on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, at 7950 131st St., Seminole, FL 33776.
