A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 30, 2011 at Regions Hospital. She was born the daughter of Elmer and Hannah (Dillon) St. Pierre on November 11, 1923 in St. Paul. Shirley retired after many years as an executive secretary with Deluxe Checks. She was united in marriage to John B. Mauer Jr. on June 1, 1946. John preceded her in death earlier this year. Shirley will remain in the hearts of her three sons: Paul (Judy) Mauer, John Mauer, and Tim Mauer; seven grandchildren: Christian, Leisha, Danny, Molly, Jay Brown, Mica, and Shane; five great-grandchildren: Jackson, Noelle, Natalie, Emma, and Baylor; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held to celebrate Shirley’s life at 10:30 AM on Monday, December 5 at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway St, St. Paul. Visitation for one hour prior to the Mass. She and her husband will be privately interred (for immediate family only) at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
