Born on June 14, 1942, in Dent, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Anna and Albert Jahnke. Sharon graduated from Frazee High School in 1960 and dedicated over 30 years of her career to the Ramsey County Health Department, where she worked in Birth and Death Records.
Mom loved to crochet afghans, doilies, and hats, mittens and scarfs for people who needed them. She also made afghans and doilies and gave them away as gifts and to people she knew.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Fern Heintz of Bloomington, MN; her daughter, Annette (Mike) Aime of Geismar, Louisiana; and her beloved grandsons, Joseph and Michael Altier. She also leaves behind her two great-granddaughters, Nathalia and RaeLynn. Additionally, Sharon is survived by her niece, Danette Heintz, and her nephew, Todd (Claudia) Heintz, all of Minneapolis, MN.
She was preceded in death by her son, Troy (Coleen) Knoepke, and her son-in-law, Donald Altier. A longstanding member of East Immanuel Lutheran Church, a service in her honor will be held there.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at East Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1173 Payne Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55130, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
