With his children, he got involved in Scouting, as a Scoutmaster for his sons Boy Scout troops and helping his daughter sell those Girl Scout cookies. He remained in scouting and did volunteer work down at Phillipo Scout Reservation for many years as campmaster on the weekends and running the gun ranges for many troops. He was also part of Order of the Arrow and worked at many of the camps doing projects.
He was involved with the District 5 Council for the East Side of St Paul where he raised his family, improving the neighborhood to make the East Side a safe and welcoming place. He also ran for State Representative for his district.
Lee loved the outdoors and his yearly hunting trip with his friends were a chance to catch up. He and Ceil also loved their annual camping trips with the family up to the Boundary Waters and then later the trips in the fall, watching his grandchildren grow and become successful in their chosen fields of study and careers made the best of memories.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Wulff Funeral Home in St. Paul, MN from 12-2pm on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
