Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin & Friend
Mike was born in St. Paul to parents Charles and Patricia. Oldest and only brother to Chris and Kelly. Having younger sisters is how learning the gift of teasing mischievousness and humor began.
Hockey, on the ice in skates with a stick in his hands was Mike's life in his younger years along with making those lifelong friends (one of them even became a brother in-law). After an injury kept him off the ice, he learned something new with help from his dad, Golf. Mike's love for the game quickly made him very good at it.
Mike married his high school sweetheart, Kim, after many years of dating on September 30th 1994 and marrying into a large extended family. Starting a family a few years later with the birth of his son Justin, along with Grant coming into his life a few years later. He loved being a dad to his two 'Sullys' whom he was so so proud of. Teaching them what he could, not only about life but the gift of teasing and humor. He was their real life Superhero.
Throughout the years Mike fought for good health, from his transplant to many injuries and a few fall backs, he never lost his humor or gave up caring for and helping others. Enjoying the Cabin Life with family & friends was the right kind of medicine. Along with Minnesota Sports, he took every chance he could to tease his sister Chris with the loss of her favorite non-MN team.
Mike made so many friends from young hockey days, Golf, work or just anyone he met. Everyone knew his name, 'SULLY'
There are so many things that each and every one of us will miss, his caring heart, his friendship, his handyman skills, to just talking to him and asking him any type of question. Because as he would say " just ask me, I know everything". (crazy cuz he knew a lot) He always made things better with his humor, always putting smiles on the faces around him.
Thankful for all the memories, keeping him forever in our hearts.
Being a donor recipient he became a donor to Lifesource... Mike will live on.
He rests in Heaven with his dad Chuck, sister Kelly, father in-law Ron, brother in-law Dean and sister in-law Sandy.
