Age 60, of Shakopee passed away unexpectedly Oct. 26, 2022. He was born Feb. 10, 1962 in California. Mark liked to read, hunt and go to the movies. He was smart, mechanically inclined and liked working with his hands. Mark cheered on his own kids’ teams and the Oklahoma Sooners.
Late in life, he worked as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, earning his bachelor’s (2014) and master’s degrees (2019). He worked closely with Minnesota’s Native American population and tribal services to bring healing to his community.
Mark is survived by his former wife, Diane Schneider; children Mark Johnson Jr. and Rosalynn Verges; grandchildren Caleb, Elray, Anna and Lincoln; siblings Shirley Adkins, Donna Crosswhite, Pam Johnson, Richard T. Johnson Jr., Valerie Johnson and Jack T. Johnson Sr.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Evelyn Mahardy and Richard Johnson and many ancestors.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 followed by a visitation at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4 and funeral service at 10 a.m., all at Wulff Funeral Home: 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul.
