Of St. Paul, MN

Passed away on March 9, 2013. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Eleanor; brothers, Dennis, Joe, and Mike; sister, Bel; and brother-in-law, Bob. Survived by her sisters, Donna Heintzman of Aberdeen, SD Mary Shevlin (Larry) & Pat Pearson (Roy) both of Sacramento, CA; brother, Jack (Pat) of Kansas; and dear friend, Carla Simeone of Minneapolis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Joelle received advanced degrees in Music and Liturgy from DePaul & Notre Dame Universities. This background gave her the opportunity to spend a year in Scotland doing campus ministry. Her greatest passion was music, and her talent was shared with many during her working years - as a music educator, director of liturgy & music at the Church of St. Mary in St. Paul, and many happy years of work at the Ordway in St. Paul. Joelle’s compassion, grace and benevolent spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 13th from 5 to 7 PM at Wulff Godbout Funeral Home, 560 W. 7th St, St. Paul. Remembrances will be shared at 6:30 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, March 14th at Church of the Assumption, 51 W. 7th St., St. Paul.
