Passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2015. Preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Kathryn Korona; and brother, Earnest Korona Jr. Survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph J. “Joe” Schmitt; Loving Mother of, Christina (Scott) Vadnais, Sarah (Sean) Lentz, and John J. (Rebecca) Schmitt; Loving Grandmother of, Thomas, Nicholas (Page), Shelby, Sophia, Anna, Evelyn, and Frederic; Loving Great-Grandmother of Ava; sister, Mary Beyer; brother, Stanley Korona; further survived by many other relatives and friends. Debbie was a devoted OR Nurse for 30+ years at Regions Hospital. She Loved people, hiking, kayaking, sailing, traveling and playing with her grandkids. She relied on God for her strength. Funeral Service will be 11:30 am Thursday, 5/14/2015 at Church of St. Pius X (3878 Highland Ave. White Bear Lake) Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, 5/13/2015 at Wulff Funeral Home (1485 White Bear Ave. St. Paul) and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at church. Interment 2:30 pm on Thursday in St. Mary’s Cemetery in White Bear Lake.
