Allen H. Johnson

Preceded in death by Mother, Hazel Johnson, and Father, Howard C. Johnson, and faithful dog Ginger.

Survived and will be missed dearly by brother, John (Donna) Skrip; godson Earl (Carly) Skrip, nieces and nephews Shannon (Joe) Pingree, Shawn (Shunna) Skrip and Heather (Nathaniel) Hollis, grand nieces and nephews, and many beloved Irish Cousins.

Allen was a graduate of Mathematics at the University of Minnesota and Computer Science at Control Data and retired in 2010 after being a computer programmer there for over 36 years at United Electric. He lived an uncomplicated and noble life alongside his mother Hazel and after she passed in 2009, retired bliss, surrounded by books, with monthly cousins lunches, weekly church services, trips to the book store, and daily phone calls with his brother as highlights.

His mantra was “life is what you make it,” and he made life enjoyable for all that knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Thursday, September 7th at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1725 Kennard St, Maplewood. Visitation one hour prior to mass at church. Inter. Forest Lawn Cemetery.
