A native of Breaux Bridge and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Bourque passed away at 4:33 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Bourque was better known to many as "J.D". He worked in the Oil Field for over 40 years and worked his way up to Rig Supervisor. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. J.D enjoyed reading, watching movies, and camping. He was also a big supporter of all LSU sports and LSU Tiger football in particular. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Courville Bourque; sons, Gary Troy Bourque and wife Marla and Todd Bourque and wife Lucy; daughters, René Patin and husband David “Blue” and Crystal Bourque; grandchildren, Camille Bourque, Ian Bourque, Jasmine Bourque, Aaron Bourque, and Chloe Patin; and sisters, Carolyn Bourque, Cheryl Guidry, Deanna Lasseigne, Janice Bourque, and Theresa Dore and husband Dave.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Eula Mae Fissette Bourque; sister, Madelyn Bourque; brother, Antoine Bourque; step-father, William “Bill” Mouisette; father-in-law, Dewey Courville; mother-in-law, Madia Latiolais Courville and sister-in-law, Lee Anna Savoy.
