Ginger was the beloved wife to Emery Handshy. She and Emery had 43 years of marriage before he was called home in 2003. Devastation and grief never end when it's true love. But after 20 years, they are together in the kingdom of heaven.
She went on to be mom of 3, Edward (Adelain) Handshy, James Handshy and Nancy (Shawn) Applegate; from there she gained many grandkids, including Nikki, Chelsey (Ben), Kayla (Bryan), Lexie (Stephen), Aidan (Alyssa) and Cade Thomas.
To keep her on her toes, God sent more angels called Great Grands, Emery, Ellie, Everly, Ethan, Collin, Sophie and Rowen, and her newest Addy.
She was an amazing wife, mom, and nana who, adored and loved her family unconditionally. All she wanted in life was to marry a wonderful man, and do the best she could as a catholic in the eyes of the Lord. Ginger was an incredibly strong woman, until the very end. She was able to reconcile her relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior before entering his kingdom, a major concern in her life.
Even though she had severe spinal degeneration, emphysema, vascular dementia, and never ending falls, she was still strong as ever until the very end with her loved ones, and animals. She was a total warrior, putting her illness aside. She was the textbook picture of what a mother's unconditional love is. No matter how difficult she became, her wishes and needs were always met, and she's in paradise waiting to embrace us all.
