SNEED: Viola Lee, 102 of St. Louis Missouri passed on July 29, 2010. She lived a very long, happy, and fulfilling life. She retired after a 40 year career with Tums and subsequently enjoyed a second career at General American. She became an accomplished ball room dancer in her early sixties winning many trophies for her talent. She was a member of the Carondelet-Markham Memorial Presbyterian Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She enjoyed gardening very much and her favorite plant was roses. She would often give the bushes personal names. She had a very green thumb and any sprout she stuck in the dirt became a beautiful plant. She was preceded in death by her husband Orvel Sneed, her son Vern Sneed and her granddaughter Sharan Walker. She is survived by her companion Charles Kraus; daughter Mary Greenlee; daughter in law Beverly Sneed; grand children Dan (Barbra) Greenlee; Judy (Don) Emily; Janet (Mike) Pickerd; Carol (Gary) Mauer; Mary Ann (Ron) Morgan; Donnie Walker; Vern (Tonya) Sneed Jr.; and Angellee Sneed. She was blessed with 19 great grand children, Jo Ann, Scott, Steve, Rod, Tracy, Chris, John, David, Sara, Kelly, Dan, Ronnie, Mike, Matt, Joe, Jake, Piper, Chloe and Camryn; and 17 great great grandchildren Taylor, Connor, Katie, Tyler, Jessica, Colby, Stevie, Katy, Zachary, Nathan, Joel, Raine, Mason, Kyan, Peyton, Rylee and Logan. A celebration of her life will be will be held Sunday August 1st at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. The family will receive guests from 1 – 3 with services following at 3. Interment will be 12:00 P.M. Monday August 2, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1215 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO. Arrangements under the direction of Hoffmeister South County Chapel, Saint Louis, MO.
