Scott Charles Sauerbrunn was born in the city of St. Louis on August 22, 1949 to George Charles Sauerbrunn and Jeanette Catherine Sauerbrunn (nee: Schnatzmeyer). When he was a toddler, his parents and his younger sister Leslie moved to Olivette where they spent the rest of their childhood. Scott attended Ladue schools, graduating from high school in 1967. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Biology at Washington University in 1971. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In 1973, he married Jane Marweg at Bethel Lutheran Church, where they continue to be members. After completing his MBA at University of Missouri - St. Louis, Scott began working for Sigma Aldrich Chemical Company, and continued his employment there for over thirty years until his retirement about ten years ago. One of the joys of his retirement was the purchase of a vacation home on a small lake in Jefferson County, where the whole family could gather for fun weekends.
Scott is survived by his wife Jane and his family: son Grant and Michaela, and their children Parker, Madeleine, and Grace; son Adam and Tori, and their children August, Henry, and Evelyn; and daughter Becky and Zola. He was so proud of his children and he delighted in his grandchildren.
