Bob. It was such a pleasure knowing you. As 'ol VW mechanics, we had a lot in common. I am sure that 'ol Joseph, upon hearing that you were coming, had plenty of Stag beer lined up to last your lifetime. You are truly missed, dear friend

Bob, you're the best. I say you are because I know you're alive in heaven.   

I miss your phone calls and our long conversations and do so many others. 

You're a wonderful person, historian, cousin and friend. I cannot find the words to say how grateful I am for all the family stories. Lizzie, Stag and the laundry basket was the best one!  

My dad loved you dearly.  You weren't just his cousin but his friend.

I miss you so much.

Bob, So sorry to learn of this bad new. I had tried calling, both your home and cell numbers a couple weeks ago and got a disconnected message. I figured something was wrong. Had I still been living in St Louis, I would have most definitely went by your home. Both Judy, and I, will miss you. Just remember the good times we had, talking about VW's, working together at Plaza, our Christmas parties and always a good supply of Stag beer, just for you. Contact me with your "new address" so I can have an ample supply of Stag sent to you. Will miss you, my dear friend. Say hello to Ed for me

This week we said our final goodbyes to a man I have known for 20 years and became like family very fast. Bob Fleming was the first person I met after moving to St. Louis when we went to ask about who picks up trash in the neighborhood. Bob didn’t have interest in hunting or sports the way I do but when he and I would sit in his driveway or garage and talk for hours he would listen to me talk about them for hours, even if he refused to try my venison. We would always tell him we were taking him to the “Lemay Casino” and he wanted no part of that, but he played along. He taught me to clean a car thoroughly and change my oil. And we tried to teach him about beers that weren’t Stag. My son Jase loved going over to Mr. Bobs house and seeing his dog and looking at all his stuff, Jase even got to sit in his Porsche before I ever did. Bob was truly one of the best people I have ever known, until we meet again Bob cheers. 

Bob was a great neighbor and friend. Being a transplant from Boston Bob became a family member for us. We loved drinking beers in the garage on a lazy afternoon or going for beer and wings. We loved going on drives through his old stomping grounds and hearing stories of his younger days. He taught my son Jay how to clean  ( really clean) a car.  Some of Bob’s family was left off this obituary which really bothered me. His son Danny (Amanda), Brett (Heidi) he loved you both.   Verna his wonderful friend too. We will miss you in the hood my friend, until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I'm so sorry to hear this news so late. Bob was a good friend. We were in the EMU together and I spent many evenings hanging out in his garage sharing a couple cold stags. I will truly miss you Bob. 

Thank you pop for all that you gave me. Without your son Robert  I wouldn't have 6 wonderful children,one of which is with you in heaven.  
I hope my dad and your grandson (little Robie) are showing you around.  May your good Irish legacy go on.


The  GOODBERLET  family express our sadness for the loss of such a great guy and FOREVER FRIEND. Bob & I have been like brothers since age 4. Bob was gifted in many ways. Always willing to help solve a problem or listen He loved sharing about Ireland, music, motorcycle trips, his family & his friends But most importantly he was a faithful servant to the Lord and followed Gods message to us in the Bible I WILL MISS MY SPECIAL FRIEND 

I WAS AN APPRENTICE AT PLAZA MOTORS AND GOT TO LOVE BOB-ALMOST A SIN NOT TO-HE BECAME MY BEST FREIND AND WE CHERISHED EVERY MOMENT TOGETHER-HE WAS A GOOD MAN AND RELISHED ALL OF HIS FREINDS-HE GOT TO KNOW MY PARENTS-AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET HIM- LOVE ALWAYS, BOB-MY BEST FREIND

I am sad to here about Bob's passing. I worked with him for almost 20 years at Plaza Motors. He was definitely one of my favorite people there, always a gentleman and  a great tech to have on our team. Bob loved to talk about his "T-Cup" and his infamous saying was "That's What I'm Trying To Tell You!" We will miss you Bob.

He was a good hardworking man, enjoyed his job, valued family first, never met a stranger, genuinely interested in what you were saying, we injoyed motorcycle rides, camping with family, often went to Lake with family for our vacations. I value all that I learned from him.  May he be reunited with his relatives in heaven 


Dear Dad, I’m so sorry that you’re gone too early.  I did all I could to look out for you and I will continue to do so. I love you very much and I will miss you dearly.  I know we shared so many good times and interesting conversations 🙂 . I especially appreciated how concerned you were for me after we lost Sierra and that you continued  to ask for prayers for me and us. I know you are happy and safe now Dad.  I will try my best to always be this tough girl you were so proud of! Love forever 💔
