Rich was the beloved son of Linda E and Ron Grap; loving nephew of Earladean (T.V.) Mattingly and the late Kenneth Wayne (the late Idabell) Pearson; a dear cousin and a friend to many in his lifetime.
Rich was born in Saint Louis and graduated from Mehlville High School in 1975. He became an ironworker at the age of 18 and served three years as an apprentice before becoming a journeyman ironworker. He worked on many interesting projects, including many buildings in Saint Louis, Houston, Texas, and Disneyworld in Florida. For many years, Rich owned and operated three used auto sales establishments.
Rich enjoyed watching television in his down time. He had his favorite shows. He liked going to the boats and spending time taking his chances. Ever a good friend, he could always be counted on to help someone in need. He was generous, funny, kind, and he loved his mother and Ron, and appreciated the help they gave him during his life. He would tell anyone who would listen, "I have the best mother in the world."
