Although we live in St Louis, we first met Richard in Florida.  Where he and Sue spent winters in the same community we spend our cold months.

We had many enjoyable games of bridge and often saw Rich around the club, with his ready smile.

He will be missed here in Florida on the bridge mornings and on the golf course.

We have been blessed to know Rich. He and his loving  family are a wonderful extended family. It’s most amazing the similarities the four of us have. Met in middle school, married 53 years, enjoyed golf and fine restaurants. There is no doubt Rich will be incredibly missed. 

You have my deepest condolences. I worked with Rich on several occasions and found him to be a helpful and considerate coworker.

So sorry to hear Rich passed.  I met Rich when I was very early in my career with McDonnell in the late 70's - probably 1978 when I started.  He was pretty much one of my first mentors.  I enjoyed several work and social activities with him over the years including a time or two on the golf course.  

I always considered him a colleague and a friend!

Thoughts and prayers to his family!

Last Tuesday February 7, 2023, I was privileged to sit next to Mr Fallek on my return from Ft Myers to St.Louis. We had a wonderful conversation, and although I did not know Mr Fallek, personally, I could tell that he was a wonderful and kind gentleman. My condolences to his family.

Rich lead one of best work groups that I was ever lucky enough to be part of.  He cared about the job, but he cared about the people even more.  Please accept my condolences.

Rich had such a quick wit, sharp mind, and easy smile.  We will miss him terribly.  So sorry for your loss.  


Rich hired me out of college (Go Purdue) and was by boss, friend, and occassional golf buddy at McDonnell Douglas from 1983 till he retired.  Unfortunately we failed to keep in touch after he retired, but he was always in my thoughts.  My condolences to his family and friends.

Alec and I hope that you will find peace and comfort in knowing that Rich was loved by so many.  He always had a smile on his face and something to say to lighten a conversation.  He will be truly missed.

I met Rich in 1974 when I worked for a supplier to McDonnell Douglas on the F-15 Program. When the supplier work was coming to an end, Rich asked me one day at work if I would be interested in working for McDonnell Douglas and 40 yrs later I retired from McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. 

Rich was a great great friend. Played many many rounds of golf with him and greatly apprecitated his and Susan's hospitality at their Ft. Meyers home. On occasion, helped him find lost golf balls.

I was scheduled to meet Rich for lunch on the day that we lost him.  I will greatly miss him and the sense of humour that sent out many humorous emails to his friends.

My thoughts are with Susan, Carlye and Lauren during their time of grief. Hope they can focus on the happiness he brought his family over his 70 plus years.

Sorry to hear that one of the old neighborhood persons has passed on.  May his family have wonderful times together and memories as they move forward.  My prayers and thoughts will be with Susan and her children.

Rich was kind enough to counsel me during my first year at McDonnell Douglas in 1976. He showed me the ropes both professionally and socially. Rich helped my wife and I merge in to St. Louis and civilian life from the Navy. 

He took my teasing with a smile as he looked for stray golf balls during our many games. He was a fun friend. 
His memory lives on.
