Richard G. Barbay, baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the age of 58.
Richard was the beloved son of the late Joseph Preston Barbay and the late Dorothy Barbay (nee Haenichen); dear brother of Michael (Becky) and Mark (late Pam); loving uncle of Mark (Colleen) & Matthew Barbay; dear uncle of Michael Thomas Barbay, the late Joseph William (Erica) Barbay, Alex Barbay, Christopher Barbay and Anthony Barbay; special great-uncle of Joseph & Francesca “Cece” and Roman, Paisley & Tucker Barbay; dear nephew, cousin and a friend to everyone.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 7th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 8th, 11:00 am, at Saint James the Greater Catholic Church 6401 Wade Avenue 63139. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard’s memory to the Special Olympics would be greatly appreciated by his family.
