Peter A. Venezia

Pete was the beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Janisch) Venezia; loving father of Joan Birk and Deb (Tim) Charow; devoted "Pa" of Mitchell Jordan, Michael Birk, and Caroline Jordan; dear brother-in-law of Rudy (Alice) Janisch; dear uncle, great-uncle, and a friend to many in his lifetime.

Pete was born in Saint Louis to Jasper and Angelina Venezia. He graduated from Southwest High School, and after he served his country in the U.S. Army, he went to work for Marcone until his retirement. He enjoyed many years playing golf, poker, and spending time with his grandchildren. He continued to live an independent life until the very end.

Pete was one-of-a-kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be Friday, December 20 from 9:30-11am at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am in the Chapel at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be bestowed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pete's memory to "Autism Speaks" would be appreciated by his family.
