Mildred Adams

Millie Adams, 96, peacefully passed away Sept. 8th 2017 in her sleep. She was born August 8th of 1921 and was the beloved wife of Elwood E. Adams (deceased) and loving mother of Raymond E Adams (deceased) and James A Adams. She was the sister of Spence Walker (deceased), John White (deceased), Bud Walker, Mary Walker(deceased), James White (deceased), Babe White (deceased). Millie and Elwood have 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Millie grew up in Belleville IL with her sister and brothers. She met Elwood at the local Bingo hall and the two were married in 1939. They moved to St. Louis where they raised their two sons. Vacationing in the Ozarks was one of the most valued memories with her children. She enjoyed visiting Hawaii, bowling, gambling, swimming and dancing throughout the years.

Millie retired form Famous Barr after 25 years and then went to JC Penny’s for 5 years. She spent many years volunteering at St. Luke's.

Millie’s laughter and smile was contagious, as she was always so happy and full of love. She would do anything to help and support her family and friends. Today will not be a day of sadness as she would want us to celebrate her life.
