We celebrate the beautiful life of our dear sister Marie (Re-Re) Grassi of Durham Ct who passed away on August 3, 2024 at the age of 87. Born on The Hill, she always brought joy, laughter and warmth into our lives. She dedicated her life to Catholic girls education, teaching at Mercy High School in Middletown Ct for more than forty years. Marie was a beacon of positivity and always knew how to lift our spirits.
She is survived by her sister Rachele (Kella) (Tom) Hunter, her life long friend Ann Derbacher and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Theresa Grassi, her brothers Frank (Jan) and Lawrence (Joann) Grassi and her nephew Tommy Hunter.
A joyful celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at St Ambrose Church 5130 Wilson Ave St. Louis, Mo. Visitation at 9 am, followed by Mass at 10am.
