Linda was the beloved only child of Norbert “Pete” and Florence (Korando) Leinicke. Born in St. Louis, she attended St. Luke’s Grade School and then Rosati-Kain High School. Continuing her education, she received her B.S. in Chemistry from St. Louis University in 1965. Her M.S. in chemistry from Washington University in 1967 and M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 1978.
Linda was a Chemist Supervisor for Sigma Chemical Company in St. Louis where some of her responsibilities were overseeing new product development, pilot production runs and raw material evaluation.
After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the Science Center.
Linda loved bowling, shooting pool, playing cards and meals with her friends and family. She was an accomplished Bridge player for over 50 years and she achieved the rank of Sapphire Bridge Master.
She loved Elvis Presley, Albert Einstein and she adored her cats that she had throughout her life. Most importantly she cherished her time with her family and her many dear friends that she stayed in contract with her entire life. She was always giving, making charitable contributions to multiple organizations, a member of the St. Louis Zoo and the Missouri Botanical Gardens and was a lifelong member of Mensa Society.
Linda leaves behind her multiple cousins and her dear friends and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
SERVICE: Memorial Visitation, Saturday, January 4th from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street at Watson. Service to begin at Hoffmeister at 11:00 am.
