Ken passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the age of 62 in his lifelong home. At his time of passing his children Kali (Darryl) Salazar and Kenneth R. (fiancé Jill Dames) Sanders were at his side along with other loved ones.
Kenneth Sanders was born in St. Louis to late Raymond Joseph Sanders and Anna Marie (nee Puricelli) Sanders on February 28th, 1961. He was their third son following Ricky Raymond (Jenny Cunningham) Sanders and Eugene Joseph (Joan nee Notheis) Sanders. Ken proceeded his younger sister Lynn Marie (nee Sanders) (Danny) Alexander.
After his service in the United States Army, Ken returned home and became a proud father. He lived the rest of his life in his childhood community on The Hill.
Ken was blessed with a large family which included amazing grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In his last few years he was called Papa Mia by his grandchildren, Emry Ray "Hotrod" Salazar and Vada Ann "Punk" Salazar.
Ken was a complex man who had many skills and talents. He had a smile that was contagious to say the least. He knew how to leave a lasting impression on those around him. Ken had a tremendous love for his family. Ken cared deeply for his friends he leaves behind. He leaves behind dear companion and friend Patricia (nee Gormly) Croy. He also had a love for his canine companions. One canine companion, Mia, survives him.

SERVICES: Memorial visitation 4pm-8pm Thursday, August 3, 2023 Calcaterra Funeral Home 5140 Daggett Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110 and also 9am until time of Mass at 10am Friday, August 4, 2023 St. Ambrose Catholic Church, corner of Wilson & Marconi followed by Military Honors at church.
