Julie H. Belew Stephenson passed away peacefully at home on October 2nd, 2022, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Jay and Harold Garwood, niece of the late Neoma and Mike Piazza, and daughter-in-law of the late Lila and George Stephenson.
A passionate educator, Julie dedicated her life to her students, giving them the tools and resources to achieve success beyond anything they could have imagined. Her unwavering commitment to each student extended far beyond expected duties. She enriched every life she touched.
Julie forged lifelong relationships at home and loved sharing her many travels and adventures with dear friends in Grand Haven, MI, Naples, FL, and Sea Island, GA. She endeared herself to everyone, possessing a rare gift for making each person in her life feel uniquely special and loved, as they genuinely were to her.
Nothing gave Julie greater joy in life than her family. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jim, sons George (Kate) and Harry (Eleni), grandson Theo, and loving sisters Judith (the late Harry) Neill and Janet (the late Ken) Mandziara. She was a devoted aunt, sister-in-law, and friend to so many.
Memorial service to be held at The Church of St. Michael & St. George, 6345 Wydown Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105, on the 8th of October at 9:30AM.
