Gail Mathis Barton, age 92, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Gail was born August 12, 1930 to Christopher and Hazel (nee Slinkerd) Mathis who have preceded her in death along with her beloved husband, Dwight Barton.
Gail leaves behind her son, Dan (Cathleen) Barton. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Gail was a woman of faith and shared her beliefs with her husband, Dwight who was a minister. They were very active in their church, Friendship Assembly of God here in St. Louis. Gail dedicated her life to serving others.
A visitation for Gail will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Immediately following the service, Gail will be laid to rest at Boss Cemetery, 1573 MO-32, Boss, MO 65440. The family will be gathering at the cemetery around 2:45 P.M. for the committal service.
