David "Dobbie" Allen Goldstein

David Allen “Dobbie” Goldstein, aged 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 16th, 2024 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was born on January 6th, 1950 to Marian and Jack Goldstein in St. Louis, MO.

Dear father of Gabriel Goldstein, Lani (Eric) Bausewein, and Molly (Ryan Saul) Goldstein. Beloved middle brother to Mark (Joanie) and Rand (Jan) Goldstein. Uncle to Jonathan (Holly), Janie, and Jeffrey (Kellie) Goldstein, and Lisa (Zach) Ruben. Dear nephew, cousin and friend to many.

Dob was a resident of Florida since 1975 when he moved to Fort Lauderdale to open a new branch of the family business, Goldstein-Schwartz, where he spent his entire working career. Growing up in St. Louis he was a huge sports fan and loved his St. Louis baseball Cardinals. After moving to South Florida, he also took to the Miami Dolphins and later the Florida Marlins. He was proud of his large t-shirt collection, specifically his collection of tie-dyes. Dob was an avid reader and had a vast collection of books which fed his love of trivia. He loved music, specifically music of the "60's" and was a long-time faithful follower of the Grateful Dead.
