Bruce Lee Gross

Bruce was born on April 3rd 1959 to Rev. Ronald and June Gross in Mattoon, IL. After initially attending school in Evansville, IN, Bruce graduated from Casey High School in 1977. He then attended Indiana State University. Bruce had many musical talents. He loved to play his guitar, harmonica, and the piano. He also loved to cook and bake, especially if it was for a holiday meal. He loved to travel and try new foods. He was always proud to provide for family by being a hard worker. He was employed at EMAC in Effingham, IL.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, infant brother Phillip, and sister-in-law Joni James.

Bruce is survived by his wife Shanna Owen Gross; mother June Cramer Gross; sisters, Venita Hooper of Chandler, IN and Ronda Reynolds of Newburgh, IN; brother Dan Gross (Marsha) of Newburgh, IN; sister-in-law Tamara Owen of Toledo, IL; sons Derek Gross (Susan) of South Bend, IN and Trevor Gross (Paige) of Marshall, IL; step-son Ryan Seymour of Greenup, IL; granddaughters Lily Gross, Adalynn Gross, and Elliott Mae Gross; step-granddaughter Alex Seymour; and close child of his heart Waylon Shaffer.

Visitation will be held Saturday January 20th at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Yale, IL from 10:00 to 12:00 with a Memorial Service to follow.
