It has been a year ... an I still miss her.  I remember kissing her forehead and saying "I'll be back" and she passed that night.
   I know she's more comfortable now and I truly think she's looking down on us an laughing that contagious laugh of hers.  To all her family and friends - my sympathy.

Sometimes special people enter your life and you know right away.  When I first met Betty, she was a client, but she quickly turned into a friend.  Dinners, trivia nights, having a good time with friends and travel were our common bonds.  I miss her and hold her friendship dear in my heart. 
My sincere sympathies to her family.  We were all very fortunate to have her in our lives.

I used to work with Betty at Maryland Medical Group many years ago.  She was such a nice person to work with.  I will never forget that she gave me a baby shower before my first child was born in 1986.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Betty and I volunteered together at the Ronald McDonald House there past several years.  Betty was there when I stared and did a great job of making me feel welcome ~ I always enjoyed our conversations and she made it fun for me to be there.  I spent a lot of time admiring her jewelry and was so happy when she brought me a pair of Christmas earrings that her niece had made.  I will always treasure them and the memories I have of our times together at the RMH and our to lunch with Betty and our dear friend Marie.

My deepest condolences to Betty's family and friends; she was a true "original," and she will be missed.

I trained Betty for many years at the BJH fitness center (to this day the only person I have worked with who ironed her workout clothes).  Our sessions were always full of chatter...so much that at times we solved the worlds problems more than exercise (luckily we agreed on everything from politics to religion so we felt very well suited to provide solutions).  We talked about a lot but the conversations always circled back to her daughter and grandchildren.  She always gushed over Mickey, Kenny and Bridget and was very proud of their accomplishments.

Her sessions were always geared around preparing for her travels and I was always amazed how much she lived life.  She was not content to just sit; Betty wanted to go and go she did.  I'd like to think I had a hand in helping her get the most from her travels and life but the truth is, she helped me grow into the person I am today.  She trusted a kid trainer right out of school to keep her healthy and in return, she gave me the same kind, gentle advice (and at times tough love) that a grandmother would give.  

I am really going miss her and my condolences go out to her family.

Betty was a wonderful traveling companion and a warm and gracious friend. I will miss her very much but I know she's smiling and glad to be out of pain.
She shared so many wonderful memories of her time with Bill and her many, many traveling companions. She will remain a wonderful guide for a life well-lived.  Kay Moss

Betty will be remembered as a truly wonderful and loving person.  Always an open minded, kind and compassionate individual sharing her life with family and friends alike.
We will especially miss the lunches, dinners and visits we enjoyed with her over the years.  Less than six weeks ago, we enjoyed having dinner with Betty, and as usual, the evening was made most enjoyable because of her charm and sparkling personality.  Betty, you were truly loved and will be greatly missed.

Having our lunches (Pat, Betty and me) was how I really got to know Betty.  She was so interesting to talk to.  She gave very helpful advice (only when asked).  She gave me insight into my mom and dad and my family that I hold onto.  She brought my sister and I closer together.

I know she was happy on earth and happy where she is now, with her loved ones.
