Born Annamary Errante on March 6, 1931 to Mary and Joseph Errante in St. Louis. She was a graduate of Beaumont High School and Hickey’s Business College.
Ann married Jack L. Jennings on December 1, 1951 and had three children, Cynthia, David and Nan. She became widowed early in life and married Tino DiFranco, with whom she shared many world travels and happy times entertaining their many friends and families.
Ann prided herself on her social life and, most importantly, the many volunteer hours she devoted to causes such as The Klassy Kickers, where they danced for residents of retirement homes, sewing quilts for Ronald McDonald House and the St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She received the Special Ambassador Award from the Special School District for her many hours designing and sewing weighted blankets for autistic school children. In 2008 she received the Ageless Remarkable St. Louisan Award for her services and commitment to making St. Louis a better place.
Ann loved her family and leaves behind her three children; her grandchildren, Tyler (Pia) and Natalie Pukatch, Sarra (Ben) Nienaber, Cody (Ashly) Jennings, Katelan (Colter) Pierce, Connor (Anna), and Max Murch, and Colle (Blake) Van Patten; and 7 great grandchildren; whom reside in St. Louis, Dallas, Billings, Portland and Melbourne, Australia. She always made time to attend their special milestones while knitting a sweater, sewing a costume or making biscotti along the way. She was truly talented and a feminist before her time for supporting and encouraging her family and friends to reach for the stars. She is a star now, as elegant and bright as they come. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
All Services for Ann are private. Entombment Valhalla cemetery.
