Deeply loved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully on July 28, 2013.
Daughter of Dr. Fred A. Young and Martha L. Wright Young of Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was predeceased by her sister, Beatrice L. Pickersgill. Also predeceased by her husband, William A. (Bill) Stewart (2004).
Mother of Dugald (Ginette), Landon, Susan, John and Janet Stewart. Grandmother of Jonathan and Carine Stewart, Charles-Antoine Allain and Arlen Aguayo Stewart. Good friend to Murielle Allain and Marcelo Aguayo.
Born in Winnipeg in 1920, Kay was a graduate of the University of Manitoba and the Université de Montréal. She had a lifelong interest in education and was involved in the Saint Lambert French Immersion Program. She also served as President of the Saint Francis of Assisi Parent Teachers Association. For several years, Kay worked in the Liaison Office at McGill University, visiting schools to provide information to prospective students.
A long-time resident of Saint Lambert, she was an active member of the South Shore University Women's Club until her death.
Her kindness, intellectual spark and caring support will be profoundly missed by her friends and all the members of her immediate and extended family.

Visitation at Collins, Clarke, Mcgillivray, White Funeral Chapel at 307 Riverside Drive, Saint Lambert on August 5 at 11 am, memorial service at 2 pm.
