Dear Lucy, Michael, Jim and Marianne, my heart is deeply saddened today, when I was informed of the recent passing of your dear Dad. I was speaking with a parishioner from St. Lucy's, who is a Carmelite, who was at my church, St. Hubert. When she mentioned to me that she is from St. Lucy's, your Mom and Dad came to my mind. I told her that a lady who is very dear to me, and will always have a special place in my heart, used to work at Bon Secours as a nurse aid, and cared for my father during his stay there, and she was his angel on earth, was a parishioner at St. Lucy's.  Before I could say your Mom's name, she said it.  I told her that my father and family were very blessed that your Mom touched our lives, and that I stayed in touch with your parents every year at Christmas, by sending them a Christmas card, a personal note, and a calendar magnet, and your Mom always sent me a Christmas card with a note too. Then I told her that a few years ago, your Dad sent me a Christmas card with a very nice letter, and also informed me your Mom had passed, and your Dad and I still continue with the Christmas cards and notes to each other. When I mentioned that, is when she told me of your Dad's recent passing. I knew of your Dad through the things your Mom would share with me, but I was fortunate to get to know him more through his personal letters he would include with a card. I think God led me to a Mass at St. Lucy's, after your Mom passed. While there I heard a Mass Intention for your Mom. After Mass, I felt so lucky to find your Dad there and speak with him in person. I know that your parents are now happily together once again, and are your special angels in Heaven watching over smiling down on all of you. God blessed you with wonderful parents. Marianne my friend, I am truly praying for you and your family in this season. I pray you comfort, peace, and strength. I pray that God, help you in every breath you take. If you look up Gentleman in the dictionary a photo of Bill should appear.  A quiet hero and the husband every girl should aspire to find.  I believe Carol and Bill are looking down on all of us as happy as ever, back together.  They have a great American Love Story and we got to watch.  So grateful that these two special people were in my life.  Both taught me things that I carry with me always.  Your Dad taught me dignity, humility and that men can be strong and kind.  I will forever be grateful that I was an honorary daughter for a night.  I have a few memories of Les Mis the Musical but I have so many memories from that evening of your Dad.   He showed us how we deserved to be treated.  I love you all.  I am so grateful you shared your folks and your childhoods with me and all of us Wier kids.  Your parents provided a safe space for me on so many occasions.  I know the loss you feel right now is crippling but you guys are the strongest family I ever met.  I can't wait to see how you honor your parents for the rest of your lives and how their love story will motivate future generations of your family forever.

Please be assured of the brother's prayers for the entire Pelak family during this great time of grief. May perpetual light shine upon William.
