Margaret Delores Pilkey

Margaret D. Schlack-Pilkey, age 105, passed away on April 6, 2024. She was the wife of the late Otto Schlack and Edward Pilkey. Beloved mother of Susan (the late Clayton) Porter, Kathy (John) Dobrenick and aunt of Steve Fillare. Loving grandmother of Kristen (Matt) Licata and Shannon (Ben) Blash. Dear great-grandmother of Jack and Lauren Valenti and Jacob Licata. Stepmother of the late Barbara (John) Yurgrlevic, John Pilkey and Judy (the late Rick) Swenson, also grandmother of Dennis, Dean, the late Darren, Tina, Brett, Amy, Ryan, Todd, Lisa, Gregory, Renee and Keith. Margaret was also the loving great-grandmother and great-great grandmother to many. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her loving caregivers Caprina Pace and Mickie Bockowski. Also left to cherish her memory are many loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. Margaret was a caring woman that inspired kindness. She never looked for recognition and enjoyed making people laugh, instilling humor and perspective during any situation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Visitation, Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service and memory sharing at 1:30 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
