Joseph Roy Sweeney

Joseph Roy Sweeney, age 90, passed away on April 7, 2022. He was born on October 28, 1931 in Riley Twp, Michigan to his late parents Leo Roy “Ping” and Pearl “Etta” (nee Hildebrand). Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan Ann. He is survived by his loving children: Katherine (Gary) Bachman, John R. (Christine), Patrick J. (Therese); dear granddaughters: Ann, Rachel; and brother: William (MaryEllen). He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Ann (Patrick) Quain, Lawrence (Margaret) and Alex (Eleanor). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Visitation, Monday, April 11, 2022 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral mass, Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 28301 Little Mack Ave., St. Clair Shores. Burial will take place Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Emmett, Michigan.
