Joann (Oliveri) Eagan, 86, passed away April 29, 2023. Born on July 11, 1936 To Joseph and Mona Oliveri. Joann was a loving and devoted wife of late Ralph “Pete” Eagan. Beloved mother to Julie (Albert) Bednarski, Patrick (Gigi) Eagan, Joseph Eagan (Beverly) and Jack Eagan, and loving grandmother to Christina Eagan, Jennifer Hansen, Alisen McCart, Nicholas Eagan, Kelsie Isham, Shelby Eagan, Jacob Eagan and great grandmother to Kain Golemba, Landen Drum, Lucas Hansen, Bryce Drum, Carter Hansen, Julia McCart, Jax McCart, Ollie Hansen, Maria Izel Rodriguez, Lillianna Eagan, Jace Eagan and Charlotte Isham. Predeceased by her siblings Grace, August, Mary, Florence, Steve, Rose, & Sam. Dear Sister In-law Linda & Don Johnson.
Joann grew up in Detroit, MI then moved to Saint Clair Shores, MI where she met the love of her life, Pete, on a blind date. They married in 1957 and celebrated 59 years of marriage before Pete’s passing in 2017. They had many close friends and were known for their big gatherings and service to the community. When their kids were young, they would pack the family into their RV and travel across the country. They spent summers boating and enjoyed hosting large gatherings with friends and family. Joann’s Christmas cookies have been the staple of the holiday season and her spaghetti, lasagna, chocolate chip cookies and apple pie made family gatherings complete. Joann enjoyed shopping and sewing but it was spending time with family and friends that brought Joann the most joy. Her life will forever be cherished and remembered through the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on May 4th, 2023 from 3pm – 8pm at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Mass will be May 5th, 2023, beginning at 10am, St. Isaac Jogues Parish at 21100 Madison St. Saint Clair Shores.
