I learned that Jerry had died from the Postal Record just this week. Faith overcomes sorrow, but things aren't the same knowing he's gone. We worked together. We got together at Rory Natzke's every year for a Game Dinner. When I was much younger, he told me how to cure Salmon eggs, and that knowledge helped me catch hundreds of Salmon over the years, and I passed his tips on to countless fishermen in the ports of Michigan. Every time I hear a helicopter, I think of Jerry. Every time Dave Brown comes to my house to do a job, we talk about Jerry. We weren't close friends, but I have the joyful memories of staying up all night in his driveway roasting pigs for the Postal Picnics, drinking, laughing , and telling stories. Stopping in in Leota with Steve Bossen on the Fall Turkey Opener. THAT was EPIC!. The last time I saw him, he was buying a "good" camera at Best Buy for a trip up to Alaska with the Natzkes. I never found out how that went, but I would've paid money to hear him tell about it. My deepest sympathy, the second time around, to the family. Dear Mary Ann & family,
I was so sorry to recently learn of Jerry's death.  I grew up across the road from the Harrold family in LaPorte, when Jerry and Sherryl were still living home.  They seemed like such an exciting family to me,  always something going on, people in and out, laughter, curses, food,  and they always treated us like family.  Frances and Floyd had a wall hanging above the refrigerator that was labeled, "whose in the dog house today" and these little dogs with each of their names.  I always checked it when visiting and usually it was Jerry's dog that was in trouble.  When he was in the Air Force, he bought my mother, Grace, a set of stainless steel flatware which I inherited when she died and it is still in use in our camper.  To this day it reminds me of Jerry.  I can still remember when Jerry and Mary Ann got married, how excited we were for Jerry.  Please accept my condolences to your family.

I just heard of Jerry's passing today. I am so sorry for the family. I grew up across the road from the Harrold's in LaPorte MI. There was always something going on at their house. Some mornings Jerry would come to our house and talk with my mother, making her laugh and laugh. We kids had to leave for the school bus but I always wanted to stay to hear what Jerry had to say.  I just remember a great guy.

So sorry to learn of Jerry's passing, I worked with Jerry at the Post Office. He was the best always smiling, so nice and when we would have service talks his comments  were spot on He will be missed 💞  prayers for his family

So sorry to hear about the passing of our Union brother Jerry Harold.
I will always remember Jerry and Mary Ann playing Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus for all the kids for our Union Christmas party.  Sometimes even coming over to my house to surprise my kids.
He will truly be missed, you could always count on Jerry for help when needed.
