Christine Marie Young

Christine Young (Nasto) age 94. Born in Detroit on March 8, 1929. Loving wife of 60 years to the late Donald J. Young. Dear mother of Donald A. Young (Barbara), Valerie Woonton (Richard), and Randall Young. Beloved grandmother of Catherine Woonton (Erik Johnson), Ryan Young, Jennifer Hendricks (Kyle), Morgan Young, Richard Woonton, Ashley Woonton, and great-granddaughter Ruby Hendricks and her upcoming sibling. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Vasila Nasto from Macedonia and siblings Pauline Simons (John), Mary Neil (Tom), Peter Nasto (Jeanette), Christopher Nasto, and James Nasto (Donna). Sister-in-law to Vito Aleccia and to several predeceased brothers and sisters-in-law. Dear aunt to several nieces and nephews. Christine graduated from Detroit High School of Commerce and worked at a variety of businesses. She resided most of her life in St. Clair Shores, and enjoyed traveling to many destinations with her family. She was a talented artist, painter, doll-maker, and crafter. She loved walking, bowling, cooking, and shopping. Christine had the voice of an angel and was a kind, compassionate friend to all. She will be remembered for her beauty inside and out, her positivity, strong faith, and her never-ending love and devotion to family. Funeral Mass, Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. (Instate 9:00 a.m.) at St. Margaret of Scotland, 21201 E 13 Mile Rd., St. Clair Shores. Burial at Resurrection to follow.
